Broken patterns

nyFrkB9

Do your patterns look like the above image? Where they just float around the clothing? Perhaps you don’t see patterns at all, but the checklist mentions there is one present.

To fix this, you must enable WebGL on your computer. You can do this by going into the settings of your current browser.

Follow the instructions here on how to turn on WebGL.

Once you’ve turned it on in your browser, you should be able to launch Tailor Tales and patterns work.

Are patterns still broken despite turning it on? Then as a last resort, Tailor Tales was shipped with a fix that users can apply themselves.

You will have to open the folder Tailor Tales is located in.

For Itch.io:
– Open the Itch app and locate Tailor Tales
– Click the cogwheel then click manage
– Click “open folder in explorer”

For Steam:
– Open Steam and find Tailor Tales in your library
– Right click Tailor Tales and select properties
– Click on the tab “Local Files” and then click “Browse local files”

Browse to this location:
Tailor Tales > www

There should be two files in there named “package.json” and “package-NoWebGL.json”. Rename “package.json” to “package1.json” or something else. Rename “package-NoWebGL.json” to “package.json” so that the game will read this file instead.

Relaunch the game and patterns should now be fixed. It does come with some minor visual errors (fierce/kind buttons are not centered), but at least patterns now work and you can complete random clients.

Still seeing broken patterns in-game after the above steps?
The issue might still persist if you’re using multiple monitors in extended mode. If you have multiple monitors, put them in duplicate mode instead (Windows + P) whilst playing the game. This should hopefully fix the issue.
